During the days of the Ester Week (April, 27 — May, 3) after a Divine Liturgy and vespers all comers are permitted to get up to the belfry of Danilov monastery and try themselves ringing the bells. This year our current bells are avilable for the Easter bellringing for the last time. They will be changed by the historical ones in September.
The hours of the attendance:
— within 1 hour after a Divine Liturgy (about 11.30)
— within 1 hour after vespers (about 18.30)
Note: At Easter tolling will begin about 13.30. In the evening — 18.30
On Holy Friday tolling in the morning will begin at 12.00
On Holy Saturday tolling only in the morning (about 11.30)
On May, 6th, from 3 pm till 4 pm
In the Monastery Bell Tower there will held a concert of the participants of the “Bell Ringing Week” programme of the Moscow Easter Festival. Virtuosos of the Russian bell ringing art will perform traditional church bell ringing of different styles.
